The Crew of August: Osage County
What is a job that when done right no one notices, but the moment its done wrong all eyes are on you? The answer is Stage Technician. That includes anyone who works behind the scenes during a theatrical production. These people are often both overlooked an underappreciated! With that in mind, we whole-heartedly wish to thank our crew for August: Osage County by Tracy Letts.
June Alane Reif (Director) made her directorial debut with an adaptation of Kay Boyle’s The Astronomer’s Wife as a theater student at LSU. Some of her most memorable directorial achievements include Hardball, Laura, Seascape and Ordinary Day. June is a veteran actor, director and board member of Valley Players. She is delighted to have the honor of directing this powerful play and the opportunity to work with this very fine cast and crew.
Lu Kenmonth (Sound Design, Technical Director/Light & Sound Technician) is a 2nd grade teacher at an arts integration school in Napa. As a teacher, Lu has produced and directed seven children’s musical theater productions including Disney’s Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Annie and Seussical.
Rhonda Bowen (Set Design) studied set design in the dark ages. She is so pleased to bring her skills to light and join this amazing design/build team once again for Valley Players’ August: Osage County. Rhonda studied all aspects of theatrical production at Santa Rosa Junior College, and Architecture at University of California at Berkeley.
Keith Baldanza (Set Builder) first got his hands dirty building set pieces for the San Jose Repertory Theater oh-so-many moons ago. A driving force in the early days of Dreamweavers, he is proud to have contributed to nearly every Valley Players production since 2018.
Paul Marciniak (Set Builder) became involved with Valley Players after their first performance. He has been having a fun time building sets and working behind the scenes as a stage member ever since. He is delighted to work with such a great and talented group. Please come join us: you won’t be disappointed!
