The Crew of Ripcord

Behind every dazzling stage performance, there’s a village of unsung heroes: the crew. These dedicated individuals, working tirelessly behind the scenes, are the lifeblood of any production. From the lighting techs who set the mood, to the sound engineers who ensure every note is pitch-perfect, to the stagehands who magically transform sets in the blink of an eye—each person plays a crucial role. It truly takes a village to bring a show to life. While the actors may steal the spotlight, it’s the crew who make the magic happen, often invisible but always indispensable.

June Alane Reif (Director) made her directorial debut with an adaptation of Kay Boyle’s The Astronomer’s Wife as a theater student at LSU. Some of her most memorable directorial achievements include August: Osage County, Hardball, Laura, and Seascape. June is a veteran actor, director and Artistic Director of Valley Players. She is delighted to have the honor of directing this lively play and the opportunity to work with this very fine cast and crew.

Jessica Romero (Stage Manager) is delighted to return to work with Valley Players! An actor/director based in the North Bay, she has been seen onstage in Men on Boats (Valley Players), Romeo & Juliet (Nurse, Napa Valley College), the workshop of Hamlet’s Big Adventure! (a prequel) (Ophelia/King, Napa Valley College), Annie (Mrs. Greer, Lucky Penny Productions), and The Zero Sum Mind (Hallie, On The Fringe Visual and Performing Arts). Directing credits include A Charlie Brown Christmas (Napa Valley College), The Vagina Monologues (The Black and White Center), The Aristocats KIDS and Seussical KIDS (both at Napa Valley Language Academy).

Rhonda Bowen (Production Designer) has been designing sets, performing as an actor, and directing Bay Area productions for sometime. She has been working with Valley Players since 2018. and is honored to lead the design team once again for Valley Players’ production of Ripcord. Rhonda studied acting, design, and all aspects of theatrical production at Santa Rosa Junior College and SRT, and architecture at The University of California at Berkeley.

Keith Baldanza (Master Builder) first got his hands dirty building set pieces for the San Jose Repertory Theater oh-so-many moons ago. A driving force in the early days of Dreamweavers, he is proud to have contributed to nearly every Valley Players production since 2018

Paul Marciniak (Best Boy) became involved with Valley Players after their first performance. He has been having a fun time building sets and working behind the scenes as a stage member ever since.
